The ABOLLO Two Rows Maize Chopper is designed for efficient corn silage harvesting and chopping. With a 1.25 m working width, the machine harvests and processes two rows of corn simultaneously using its cutting and feeding drums.
Its fold-back system helps create additional clearance during field operations, reducing the number of turns at the field ends and helping prevent corn plants from being crushed by tractor wheels.
The cutting and feeding drums cut the corn plants and transfer the harvested material to the feeding unit. The feeding system guides the crop into the chopping rotor, helping maintain a continuous material flow during operation.
The chopping rotor features 12 chopping blades and can process harvested corn to a minimum particle size of approximately 5 mm, depending on operating conditions and machine settings. This provides suitable material size for corn silage production.
The feeding system includes two feeder rollers and two pressing rollers. They guide and compress the corn plants and cobs before they enter the chopping unit, supporting continuous and efficient processing.
A safety bolt protects the feeding system against damage caused by stones and soil entering the machine during operation. The wheel height can also be adjusted during operation to help adapt the machine to different field conditions.
The hydraulic discharge chute can be controlled from the tractor. Its height and reach allow chopped corn to be discharged into trailers, while an optional chute extension enables loading into trucks and higher-sided trailers.
The integrated knife sharpening system allows the chopping blades to be sharpened conveniently, helping maintain consistent chopping performance during extended use.
The upper discharge chute can be folded for road transportation, reducing the overall machine height and making transport easier and safer.
